Arcis and Opentrons sign distribution agreement for sample preparation products

NEW YORK – Arcis Biotechnology said today it has signed a global distribution agreement with Opentrons for nucleic acid sample preparation products.

Under the terms of the deal, New York-based Opentrons will offer Arcis' line of nucleic acid extraction and preservation products and its automated OT-2 laboratory robotic platform to customers worldwide. Additional terms were not disclosed.

"Arcis' pure reagent solution is a compelling product for biologists, but when you automate the protocol, it can High-throughput sample preparation workflows for every molecular biology laboratory."

Earlier this year, UK-based Arcis signed a joint marketing agreement with Andrew Alliance for sample preparation reagents. In late 2018, it signed a deal giving Teleflex the rights to use the chemical to develop diagnostic tests.
