In the exploration journey of life sciences and biomedical science, proteomics is leading a new round of research craze with its unique charm. With the rapid development of mass spectrometry technology, the research boundaries of proteomics have been continuously expanded, bringing unprecedented opportunities to drug development, clinical medicine, translational medicine and other fields.
Proteomics experiments cover steps such as design, sample pretreatment, LC-MS/MS analysis, database search and bioinformatics analysis. Among them, LC-MS/MS sample preprocessing is the key to ensuring data reproducibility and consistency. However, these manual steps are time-consuming and labor-intensive and easy to introduce artificial errors, affecting the accuracy and reproducibility of mass spectrometry analysis.
In order to improve the efficiency of pretreatment of protein spectrometry samples, Opentrons has specially launched the Flex automated proteomics sample pretreatment pipetting workstation and recently released the Plate absorbance reader module to help scientific researchers complete sample pretreatment safely, quickly and accurately, improve uniformity and reproducibility, thereby bringing better mass spectrometry detection results. In order to deeply explore the latest progress and application practices of proteomics, Opentrons, in particular, will hold an online seminar on "Flex Application Topic - Unlocking the Unlimited Potential of Protein Spectrometry Preprocessing Automation" from January 9, 2025 at 14:00-15:30. The seminar specially invited Wang Guibin, senior engineer from the National Center for Protein Science (Beijing), Lin Delin, senior application technology engineer at Opentrons, and Wang Qing, founder of Complete Omics, to jointly discuss the latest technological achievements of proteomics based on mass spectrometry, and to fully demonstrate the application of automation platforms in proteomics research through actual cases and on-site demonstrations.
